Taylor-Swift
Taylor Swift, in full Taylor Alison Swift (born December 13 1989 West Reading Pennsylvania U.S.) American pop and country music singer-songwriter whose tales of youthful heartache earned her widespread popularity in the first decade of the 20th century. Swift was interested in music since a young childhood. Swift quickly rose up the ranks, starting with roles in children's theater and then singing before a large crowd. Swift was 11 years old when she performed The Star-Spangled Banner at a Philadelphia 76ers Basketball match. In the following year Swift began to write songs and picked up the guitar. Drawing inspiration from musicians from the country genre like Shania Twain and the Dixie Chicks (now the Chicks) Swift crafted original lyrics that expressed her feelings of being a tween and feeling alienated. As a teenager, Swift's parents decided to sell their farm in Pennsylvania for a move into Hendersonville Tennessee so she could concentrate more time pursuing country music labels near Nashville.
